City Space is a vibrant and versatile gallery space located in The Arc, Winchester. It hosts a rolling programme of exhibitions which celebrate the very best of Winchester’s thriving arts and heritage scene.
The exhibitions staged at City Space range from displays drawn from the vast collections cared for by Hampshire Cultural Trust to installations by talented local artists and groups. Every exhibition is brought to life by talks, workshops or other activities such as object-handling sessions, with opportunities to explore new hobbies and interests or simply to lose yourself in another era. With special emphasis on families during the school holidays, the programme includes opportunities for everyone to participate and to celebrate the special quality of the city and its surrounding towns and countryside.
During your visit, browse our exhibition shop, pay a trip to The Gallery and make the most of the many facilities that The Arc has to offer.
Hampshire Cultural Trust is a registered charity. The coronavirus crisis has had a huge impact on all of us. Please donate to help us re-connect our communities through culture.
All areas of City Space are accessible, with permanent access from the Jewry Street car park entrance through an automatic door into the building. There are two Blue Badge parking bays in the Jewry Street car park next to The Arc which are directly opposite the accessible entrance. Parking is free for Blue Badge holders.
